Around 80-90% of pancreatic adenocarcinomas have mutation demonstrated in the KRas 2 gene.
Around 50% on pancreatic adenocarcinoma also carry mutation in p53
p16 mutations are seen in 30% of chronic pancreatitis
Pancreatic carcinoma is associated with BRCA-2 mutations.
Other assocaited ca are breat and a skin condition called icthyosis
