Machin Head Definitive Series and Wilding

Machin Head Definitive Series
United Kingdom
Designer: Arnold Machin, a British sculptor
First issued: June 5, 1967
Still in use today (in modified forms)
Subject: The profile of Queen Elizabeth II — a bas-relief portrait based on Machin’s sculpture.
The design has become a symbol of modern British postal history.
Pre Decimal Machin (1967-1971) is the 1/2 p stamp which I have.
But I know some other Machin are 1/6 p and 1/9 p Machin.
Even like weird 6 and 1/2p or 11 and 1/2 p.

Before the Machin you have the Wilding series.

I have those as well.
Wilding is from 1952.
Dorothy Wilding, a British photographer.
She took a series of official portraits of the young Queen in 1952.
One of these photos — showing the Queen in her tiara, facing left — became the basis for the stamp design.
