Little Umar turns 1 year old

We had a small gathering at Abah’s house the other day.

Just to see umar at 1 year already really touches me. A wonderful 2011 started with the arrival of Umar Faruq on 4/1/2011 at about 10.45pm. Nadiah was tired because we travelled quite far from Kuantan, and arrived in Serdang at about 3 pm. We went to Hosp Serdang at about 5 pm and at about 10 pm Nadiah was ready for the delivery. She had very forceful contractions. But Nadiah was the perseverance kind. She has a strong will and a strong urge for success.

Nadiah was determined! Nadiah had PPH , i think its uterine atony but things got well after that. Luckily the pitocin worked! This was so frigthening after all! This was the first time I saw Nadiah was so tired. But thank you Allah, for Your blessings everything went well. The post is still here Khairul Jr.

In February, I had to pay the insurance for the Honda. It was about RM 3k all together. But, I dont really mind because I got a good car. Honda had served well. Before transferring to Kuantan, we did a dissection of Pahang health care services, from Hosp Temerloh, Hospital Jerantut and Klinik Jerantut, Hospital Jengka, Klinik Kesihatan Sg. Tekam, Klinik Maran and of course clinics in Kuantan. That is about 1000 km altogether. I did a small project of touring around health care facilities in Pahang State. We noticed that a a lot of things can be improved. I mean a lot. At least make a specialist clinic of the Temerloh MOPD, or start to mobilize specialist and consultant to these facilities.

Nadiah had a blissful holiday for 2 months and at the same time, we were looking for a place to put Umar in children daycare center. This was the first time Umar had been staying at the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, or Taska Tunas Pintar. But hey everyone has their first time.

So things got well in February and March. Umar was growing, and Nadiah was working. I was working and oncall-ing like always.

In March again we had a small family gathering for Umar. Kenduri aqiqah umar. Two Sheeps! The first sheep was for roast and the second one was for kurma. I bought those sheeps, and I got to only eat like a piece of its meat. It was so nice the way the cooked had done it. Umar had already done his aqiqah and part of my religious obligation is done.

Luckily in terms of working, I was in dengue ward. Nothing happened. No dengue death. While Nadiah in confinement I had written quite a lot on understanding ghaibs in my previous postings. My writings were very much unfocused. I wrote everything of I could think of just to make my time fulfilled with educational items. I wrote a lot of materials, from buah-buahan, to commentaries of Interlok, to journal reviews and more. I remember correctly Egypt was in the middle of a revolution after the fall of Tunisia. Mubarak was really scared! The tales of two cities hingga CD4/CD8 counts after bekam! I was the unfocused writer!

Umar was growing well in Kuantan.

Did we missed Serdang? Oh yes. I even wrote a small review on that. Here Stay or Go! and Free things in Kuantan! In Kuantan, my bad-ass on call were really bad! It happened on 8th of April 2011. Really OMG bad!Even so, I came up with a practical research, What to do when you are so Jonah. I wrote this, Doa untuk doktor yang Jonah, I believe Allah is always listening to my prayers.

Umar was still growing, and things are still well. Alhamdulillah. Umar met Mr Sand remember!

I finally figure out what i was failing. I wrote an extensive review on my previous efforts to learn more of things. Khairulorama failure to launch notes! Not to be that depressed, failure to launch is an important milestone in understanding things I like and things I dont like. Actually, I finally figure out what I like most and not while writing this blog.

Suddenly July came, and then August then September and tiba-tiba it already December.

We spend our time mostly at Teluk Cempedak, and Taman Gelora. Most weekends and holidays just to feel the breezy sea side life. And luckily most of my time is with Nadiah and Umar.

But came December, Kancil had a heart surgery. The trusted Kancil was already in need of a bypass. Kancil had an overhauled. Kaching. Old faithful still running now, at 159 K of mileage. I already pay all of the car loan for Kancil. Now is only to maintain the old faithful.
